So far, I've only unfolded a couple of pieces, and thankfully only ran into one issue, reducing the polygons makes the unfold process easier, but, the polygons don't get reduced symmetrically, which means cutting pieces in half is a bit. What I've started doing, is slightly reduce the model's polygons on 3D builder (they're too HD for pepakura to handle them) and then convert the files to PDO filesĪnd after that, the most fun (and by "fun" I mean painfully time-consuming) step of building pepakura armor, unfolding pep files I have built an "original" mark V as a commission beforeīut now I've got my eye on the anniversary version of the armorįirst of all, a huge kudos to MoeSizzlac for modeling such an amazing version of the anniversary armor! Contents of zip-file: halo-ce-mjolnir-mkv-chest. So, instead of building a new mark 6, I'd rather go into a more classic direction This is a comprehensive zip file including numerous files from multiple artists. Now, I'm totally in love with infinite's armor (both Chief's and the multiplayer's Mark VII), but I'd rather wait for more accurate files and reference material once the game is released Its not 100% screen accurate.i was rushed last minute getting side plates done.so for now.I recently sold my halo 2 MK VI armor, and I've been planning to build a new one The Eve of the CON had me strapping everything up.i had to use Adhesive Velcro strips everywhere.most parts lasted 1 hour of wearing.some parts ( side plates ),im sad to say failed to stick from the moment i put the gear on.in the coming weeks i intend to install pop snaps on all parts. This build was a quick build as i needed something to wear to our first major Con of the year.so having run short of materials and s not a complete build yet.so for the time been.i give you my LIGHT INFANTRY ARMOR.Īll the parts are made of 3mm,6mm and 12mm PVC foam board. Polo289, Love the progress pics man and im sorry about the sizing thing. We could use some more 3D guys for breaking up the files and fixing open edges. and continue with a Marine build from each game till i finish my perfect ODST build. If you want to help refer to the first post of this thread and use the link to our chat thread for Gundam Files. Ok.so im a procrastinator and OCD for perfection and for years iv always started build then stopped them at the first sign of something not perfect.my ultimate goal is ODST.īut iv decided to take it back to basics and start with a Marine build ( those underrated poor Bastards).
